This elegant vintage botanical print by Trowbridge features a study of “Phlox,” after the work of renowned 19th century Belgian botanist and horticultural illustrator Louis van Houtte. Van Houtte’s botanical illustrations are celebrated for their extraordinary balance of scientific detail and artistic beauty, and this example has a particularly soft and romantic quality. The clustered blossoms in shades of pink, lavender, and white create a graceful composition that feels timeless and highly decorative.

The print is presented in a striking custom frame that feels very reminiscent of Hollywood Regency style, with mirrored panels layered over a silver painted wood surround that adds depth, glamour, and sophistication to the piece.
