This impressive vintage Tiffany-style double pendant light combines the warmth of traditional stained glass with the scale and presence of a classic billiard or kitchen island fixture. Two large domed shades are suspended from an ornate scrolling metal frame with a central turned-form body and decorative finials. With its rich colors and substantial proportions, the fixture makes a strong decorative statement whether hung over a pool table, kitchen island, dining table, or bar.
Each shade is assembled from individually leaded pieces of stained glass in warm amber, cream, blue, green, purple, and red tones. A colorful scrolling floral and foliate band encircles each shade, accented by jewel-like glass cabochons, while the lower borders incorporate additional decorative glass and beaded edging. The dark bronze-tone metal framework complements the Arts and Crafts-inspired glass beautifully, with sweeping scrollwork and long suspension rods giving the fixture an elegant architectural quality.
The light is in nice vintage condition with age-appropriate wear to the metal finish and minor irregularities consistent with a previously used stained-glass fixture. The shades present beautifully and create a particularly warm, colorful glow when illuminated. As with any vintage lighting, we recommend inspection by a qualified electrician prior to installation. A dramatic and highly usable decorative light that brings plenty of character to a traditional, Arts and Crafts, eclectic, or collected interior.
