This handsome solid mahogany lowboy by Councill Craftsmen reflects the company’s long tradition of producing finely made American furniture inspired by classic English forms. Executed in the Chippendale style, the piece features a gracefully molded top above a well-balanced arrangement of drawers, highlighted by a richly carved central shell motif and elegant apron detailing. The cabriole legs terminate in carved pad feet, giving the piece the classic proportions and visual movement associated with 18th-century Chippendale design.

Councill Craftsmen furniture is known for its quality construction, carefully selected mahogany, and refined finishing techniques, and this example shows that heritage well.
