This elegant vintage Maison Jansen–style sculpture stand features a round marble top supported by a refined gilt-accented iron base, inspired by the neoclassical designs for which Maison Jansen is best known. The slender proportions and architectural X-form stretcher give the piece a light, airy presence while still feeling substantial and grounded. It was designed to elevate sculpture, bronzes, or decorative objects while serving as a sculptural element in its own right.
The base is finished in black with gilt bronze detailing, including decorative mounts, paw-form feet, and classical accents that reference French Directoire and Empire influences. The marble top displays natural veining and soft tonal variation, adding warmth and visual interest. The overall design balances restraint and ornament, making this stand equally at home in traditional, transitional, or eclectic interiors.
The piece is in nice vintage condition, consistent with age and normal use.
