This exquisite Vintage Ebonized Aesthetic Movement Style Pedestal, adorned with delicate brass appliqué, is a stunning testament to the artistic and design movements of the late 19th century. Despite missing one brass ornament from its square base, the pedestal retains a rich visual appeal, featuring a deep black finish elegantly contrasted by the shimmering brass appliqué that depicts stylized floral and foliate motifs—a classic hallmark of the Aesthetic Movement which emphasized art in the design of functional items.
Standing on a solid square base which stabilizes the slender, cylindrical column, this piece culminates in a flat top, ideal for showcasing a sculpture, vase, or other decorative objects. The column itself is beautifully segmented with spherical and ringed elements, enhancing its vertical allure and adding to its decorative complexity.
This pedestal is not just a piece of furniture, but a piece of art that invites admiration and discussion. It serves as a focal point in any room, drawing eyes with its bold color contrast and intricate detailing. Perfect for any collector or enthusiast of the period, it brings a touch of elegance and historical charm to contemporary interiors, marrying the past with present-day aesthetic sensibilities in a seamless blend. 42h x 11w x 11d
