Each engraving combines finely rendered architectural interiors, period costume, and expressive figure groups with delicate hand-applied color. French titles and narrative text appear beneath the images, giving the set both historical and storytelling appeal. The engravings are uniformly presented beneath glass with layered cream and blue matting in matching gilt frames, creating a substantial gallery-style arrangement when displayed together.
The set is in nice antique condition with expected toning, fading, and light surface wear from age and display. The later gilt frames show scattered rubbing and small losses, while the engravings remain detailed and visually engaging. Together, they form an impressive decorative series for a library, study, hallway, or collection of French historical art. 16h x 19w x 1d
