A handsome late Georgian English mahogany chest of drawers dating to the turn of the nineteenth century, this elegant piece reflects the restrained proportions and enduring craftsmanship that made Georgian furniture a hallmark of English cabinetmaking. Standing on shaped bracket feet and featuring a practical two-over-three drawer configuration, it offers timeless appeal that complements both traditional and modern interiors. The rich mahogany has mellowed beautifully over more than two centuries, developing the warm color and patina that collectors seek in period furniture.

Crafted from solid mahogany with fine secondary woods, the chest showcases clean, well-balanced lines accented by delicate cockbeaded drawer fronts and a molded top. The graduated drawers are fitted with attractive period-style brass bail pulls that complement the understated elegance of the design, while the original key escutcheons remain in place. Built with quality and utility in mind, the chest offers generous storage while exemplifying the honest craftsmanship of the Georgian period.
