A charming late 19th century Victorian oil lamp featuring a finely cast bust of the famed Swedish soprano Jenny Lind, known as “The Swedish Nightingale.” The spelter base beautifully captures her likeness, adorned with roses in her hair and a draped shawl, resting on a black stone plinth that lends the lamp a refined presence. The frosted and etched glass shade, decorated with stylized floral motifs, completes the lamp with elegance and period authenticity.

Pieces like this were produced in homage to Lind’s immense popularity during the mid-19th century, when her concert tours captivated audiences across Europe and America. The lamp reflects that enduring admiration, combining artistic detail with functional craftsmanship to create a memorable decorative piece that bridges fine art and design.

In nice antique condition consistent with age and use, showing light surface wear to the metal finish and minor irregularities to the shade. A beautiful accent for a Victorian-inspired interior or collector of 19th-century decorative arts. 11h x 4.5w x 4.5d
