This antique Chinese porcelain vase is decorated in the Famille Rose palette and dates to the Qing Dynasty, featuring a classic baluster form with a gently flared neck. The body is finely painted with a narrative figural scene depicting elegantly dressed court ladies beneath a willow tree, rendered in soft pastel enamels with expressive brushwork. The composition reflects traditional Chinese storytelling and the refined aesthetic associated with Qing period porcelain.
The decoration is executed in the Famille Rose manner, using pinks, greens, blues, and black outlining to define the figures, landscape elements, and ornamental details. The upper register is embellished with stylized floral and auspicious motifs, and the underside bears a Qianlong mark, referencing one of the most celebrated reigns of the Qing Dynasty. The porcelain body shows pleasing proportions and a balanced form that translates well visually, even when repurposed.
The vase has been drilled at the base at some point for use as a lamp, a common and historically accepted adaptation. It remains in nice antique condition overall, with light surface wear consistent with age and normal use. The enamels remain vibrant, and the piece presents well, whether retained in its current state or adapted again for decorative or functional use. 12h x 4w x 4d
