A striking early 20th-century oak multidrawer file cabinet featuring a tambour roll-top upper section with pigeonhole compartments over a sixteen-drawer base. Though the piece is a marriage, the top and bottom complement each other beautifully in both color and style, creating a cohesive and functional presentation. The upper section features a smooth-operating roll-top door that reveals thirty-two pigeonholes, while the lower portion offers ample storage with drawers fitted with brass label holders and turned wooden knobs.

The warm golden oak surfaces display the characteristic medullary rays of fine quarter-sawn lumber, enhanced by an aged patina that speaks to years of careful use. Originally designed for office or mercantile settings, this cabinet combines form and function in a way that makes it equally suited for modern use—as a home office organizer, studio file, or decorative statement piece.

In nice antique condition consistent with age and use, showing light wear and surface character throughout. The tambour operates properly, and all drawers slide smoothly. A wonderful and visually unified marriage of two period components, this cabinet captures the enduring craftsmanship of early 20th-century American office furniture. 62h x 39w x 24d
