Dating to 1909, this exceptional Art Nouveau vanity mirror beautifully captures the movement’s fascination with flowing organic forms and naturalistic decoration. The elaborate frame is enveloped in sculptural roses, buds, stems, and foliage that appear to grow naturally around the oval mirror, creating a wonderfully romantic composition. Pieces of this quality and detail embody the artistry that made Art Nouveau one of the most celebrated decorative styles of the early 20th century.

The frame is cast in brass with its original silvered finish, which has mellowed gracefully over more than a century. The intricate openwork design showcases beautifully modeled roses in various stages of bloom intertwined with thorny stems and finely veined leaves, all supported by a graceful scrolling easel base. The combination of sculptural depth, delicate detailing, and the softly aged silvered surface gives the mirror remarkable visual presence, making it as much a work of art as a functional dressing mirror.
