The chairs are upholstered throughout in a softly lustrous striped fabric combining golden yellow, deep red, and muted green. Rolled back cushions, thick removable seat cushions, self-welted edges, and tailored skirts give the pair a polished yet comfortable appearance. The vertical stripe continues across the backs, cushions, pillows, and skirts, bringing visual height and a pleasing sense of rhythm to the simple silhouettes.
The chairs are in nice vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use, including light fading, scattered marks and small stains, creasing, minor fabric pulls or fraying, and some softening to the cushions.
