A handsome pair of vintage library armchairs in the Chippendale style, upholstered in rich burgundy leather. Their tall, deeply button-tufted backs and generous proportions give them the inviting character of traditional club or library seating, while the graceful open arms and cabriole front legs keep the design light and elegant. They would make a distinguished addition to a study, living room, office, or fireside reading area.

The chairs feature beautifully shaped hardwood frames with warm, polished finishes, serpentine arms, carved knees, and classic cabriole legs. Deep diamond tufting adds comfort and visual depth to the leather backs, while brass nailhead trim neatly outlines the seats and sides. The deep wine-red leather has developed an appealing sheen and character that work equally well in a traditional interior or as a warm, collected accent in a more modern home.

This pair is in nice vintage condition, with age-appropriate creasing, surface scratches, scuffs, and areas of wear to the leather, particularly across the seats and front edges.
