This elegant pair of late 19th century Victorian balloon back chairs showcases the graceful curves and refined proportions that made this style so enduringly popular. Inspired by earlier French designs yet adapted for the Victorian interior, the chairs possess a light, sophisticated presence that works beautifully in both traditional and transitional homes today. Their sculptural balloon backs and flowing cabriole legs give the pair a sense of movement and refinement while still feeling warm and inviting.

Crafted from richly toned walnut, the chairs feature beautifully shaped frames with gently molded crest rails and serpentine back supports that highlight the craftsmanship of the period. The warm wood has developed a lovely patina over time that complements the soft curves of the design. The seats have been upholstered in a tasteful striped fabric in warm neutral tones that pairs nicely with the walnut frames and gives the chairs a fresh yet classic appearance. Their proportions make them highly versatile as side chairs, bedroom seating, desk chairs, or occasional accent seating within a layered antique interior.

The chairs are in nice antique condition with age-appropriate wear consistent with normal use.
