This beautifully framed botanical print, titled Moly latifolium, originates from the famed Hortus Eystettensis (Garden of Eichstätt), first published by Basilius Besler in Nuremberg in 1613. Besler’s florilegium is one of the most celebrated botanical works of the early modern era, illustrating the rare and exotic plants cultivated in the garden of the Prince-Bishop of Eichstätt. The engraving captures the fine balance between scientific precision and artistic grace that defined the golden age of botanical illustration.

The composition features Moly latifolium (a variety of Allium) alongside two early irises, Iris bulbosa mixta and Iris bulbosa variegata, rendered with delicate linework and rich coloration. Each specimen is shown with bulb and root structure intact, reflecting the Renaissance fascination with natural order and botanical classification.

Elegantly presented under glass within a gilt and ebonized wood frame with linen matting, the print displays beautifully with gentle toning and minor signs of age. A timeless decorative accent that bridges art and natural history, it would complement both traditional and contemporary interiors alike. 19h x 16w x 2d
