This handsome antique bookcase, crafted around 1920, showcases the bold grain and deep golden tones of quarter-sawn tiger oak. With its clean-lined silhouette and tall double glass doors, the design feels both classic and versatile—perfect for traditional or modern interiors alike. Inside are three adjustable shelves, offering flexible storage for books, collectibles, or decorative displays.
The simple molded cornice and paneled sides reflect early 20th-century craftsmanship, while the shallow depth makes it ideal for use in smaller rooms, hallways, or home offices. The warm finish highlights the dramatic figuring of the oak, giving the piece visual richness without overwhelming its surroundings.
This bookcase is in nice antique condition with minor wear consistent with age and normal use. There is some chipping of the veneer at the bottom on both sides (pictured), but it remains structurally sound and ready to use. The glass panels are intact, and the shelves are sturdy and well-fitted. A beautiful and practical piece of American craftsmanship from the early 20th century. 48h x 42w x 16d
