This really great Mission oak arm chair by Quaint Furniture dates to the early 20th century and embodies the straightforward, honest design philosophy of the Arts & Crafts movement. Built from quarter sawn oak, the chair showcases the beautiful ray fleck grain that collectors and decorators alike really appreciate, giving the surface a lively texture while maintaining the clean, restrained lines that define Mission furniture.

The form is simple and sturdy, with wide, flat arms, a slatted back, and solid, well-proportioned legs. The construction emphasizes durability and function, while still offering a warm, inviting look that works just as well in a period setting as it does in a more modern interior. The upholstered seat complements the tone of the oak nicely and remains serviceable, though it does show some age, which is to be expected.

The chair is in nice antique condition consistent with age and normal use. There is expected wear to the finish, particularly to the arms where they have been handled over time, along with light surface wear and age-related marks throughout. The seat upholstery shows some age-related wear but is still usable as is.
