Crafted in richly figured quarter-sawn oak, the bookcase has a deep, warm finish that brings out the wood’s distinctive ray-fleck grain. Five graduated stacking sections feature glazed lift-front doors with small decorative brass knobs, while the separate base contains two useful drawers fitted with aged metal pulls. A molded cornice and plinth base complete the clean architectural design, and the warm interiors create an especially inviting backdrop for books, collections, or treasured objects.
The bookcase is in nice antique condition with expected wear from more than a century of use, including scratches, scuffs, finish variation, interior marks, aging to the glass, and a small area of loss along the upper molding. The original paper label remains present, though worn around the edges, and the aged hardware contributes to its authentic character. Beautiful, practical, and full of period charm, this substantial bookcase offers both impressive storage and an appealing piece of American furniture history for today’s home. Shipping can be arranged upon request. 77h x 34w x 12d
