The distinctive serpentine “cookie corner” profile gives the top its elegant contour, while the apron displays strong veneer work and pleasing symmetry. When closed, the piece functions as a refined console in a hall or parlor; when opened and swung on its rear leg, it forms a generous square gaming surface as originally intended for cards and tea.
The table stands on four fluted and turned legs — a classic Sheraton vocabulary — tapering delicately to simplified feet.
